International Language Studies (ILS) Bali is a high profile English course which operates on a well-established system and has its teaching method standardized to be equal to Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adult) and CELTYL (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Children). ILS runs on a comprehensive syllabus consisting of 12 levels of Children Course, 12 levels of Young Adult Course and 12 levels of General English.
To assure that every teacher in ILS is capable of delivering lessons in a systematic and interesting way, it is compulsory for every candidate teacher to do a training on TEFL held by ILS. This is then followed by TEFL workshops held every three months to kep up with the latest development and ideas on TEFL . ILS also offers Cambridge FCE Certificate for students who have completed all levels in ILS.
Classes in ILS are conducted solely in English (monolingual classes) so as to give most resemblance to first language acquisition. Students engage in various kinds of activities which allow them to practice and develop their language skills whereas at the same exercise their social skills. About 90 % of classroom activities is concentrated on developing speaking skill.
Classrooms in ILS are designed in such a way to make sure students can learn with maximum comfort. Additional facilities include computer self assissted programs, a library and internet connection.
